We import and market European leeks since the winter of 2000. Even though they are similar in terms of quality, European leeks are very different from those cultivated in Québec. Their scape (white part of the leek) is longer, their width is smaller and they have a sweeter taste. During the winter season, they are easily distinguished on our supermarket shelves by their incredible quality. Leek importation allows our company to commercialize sliced leeks all year long.
